Save Game Modifier.
After first downloading this new utility by Doctor J I felt a
wave of disappointment. The icon was a drab castle, not exciting
to say the least. However it got better, MUCH better in fact! A
nice layout coupled with colours to suit your desktop theme
(mine is blue) makes a nice design. The utility is laid out in 6
tabs, Guests, Rides, Scenery, Financial, Scenario and Research.
I'll start with Guests
This section allows you to change guests name, clothes, hunger
ratings, etc. A good add-on is ability to change guests
preferred intensity level, you can now get guests to finally
ride that 137-intensity coaster! Not a very interesting section
to be honest. 4/10
Rides
Using this option you can choose any ride and change its Train
or operating mode, the opportunities are endless! you can also
make the whole ride underground ; useful when wanting to create
a Black Hole style coaster. Problem is you can't see what you've
done unless you have the game running 6/10
Scenery
One of the better sections, this allows you
convert any type of land to any other type of land ;) This
section is also useful for selected the tress you want to place
in your new mega park without actually putting them in yourself!
genius! if you don't like what you've just mucked up you can
easily delete them, as well as any shrubs sculptures etc. You
can also change the size of your mega park to an itty bitty Mini
park. 9/10
Financial
A very simple section. Change your cash, loan, max loan, park
entry price, Nice and easy to use as well. Perfect. 10/10
Scenario
Useful for when you're creating your custom save game. You can
change the objective (have Fun! or get yyyy guests in f years)
and put the peep generator or high or low. Another useful option
is the ability to take away certain parts, for example taking
away advertising or maybe prohibiting height of track building.
You can also save your scenario to an actual in-game slot!

Research
The most complicated section. You can turn on/off any rides in
your scenario, for example you may want the wooden wild mouse
but not the inverted wild mouse. (for some reason). A VERY
useful option is the "random" option which will
surprisingly randomise all the ride settings, essential for your
new scenario. You can even choose which order they come in as
well. 9/10
Anything Else
Phew, not much else. You can create your own scenario from
SCRATCH, which is nice, random land mass and rides as well. All
in one program! The ability to save your new scenario is useful
as well.
News Just In! (Review Update
30th Dec 2001)
Doctor J has now updated the saved game modifier to version
3.11. Great News! Version 3.11 includes certain bug fixes with
guest cash problems and certain coaster train bugs. It now
includes complete management of saving scenario files from saved
games. No more downloading of saved game scenarios, you can
download the REAL thing.. You can also reverse it and save
scenarios as saved games. The ability to move the entrance has
been added to. Great stuff! But the rubbish icon is STILL there!

Rating
Summary
A great update form version 2, loads of little
extras (like the random thing) make a great program. Easy for
beginners and experts alike but maybe some hackers may find it a
little "shallow" Anyway, it's a great program, shame
about the icon ;)
