October - November 2002 Competition
IMPORTANT - You Must Have RCT2 to view
the competition results!

Ok so its finally time for the Spooky Suspended
results. I'm sorry they have come so late but I haven't had my
mind on RCT2 for a while due to other things going on with a
certain friend. I haven't even felt like playing. Anyway, after
having 17 entries in total it was quite a task to take out the
best and cut 17 down to 3 winners. Never the less, I managed and
I think I have 3 superb entries for you lot.
I judged the parks on first how good the theming was, basically
just how pleasing to the eye it was. That eliminated a few parks
because some had no theming at all... Secondly I looked at the
use of actual spooky theming. This was basically just to see
that entries had followed the idea of the competition. Next I
looked at the actual stats of the coaster to make sure it was
actually rideable and that they were decent.
Using these factors to judge I have come up with 3 entries which
I think deserve to win the competition. Choosing 1st, 2nd and
3rd places was quite hard because the final 3 entries were all
of quite high standard. To judge this I decided I would just go
simply on how pleasing the theming was and so bellow are the
winners you have been waiting 3 weeks for...

First Place Winner :-
The Ring by BchillerR - Download

The theming of this coaster is just amazing. I love the
giant waterfall and all of the detailed work around the coaster
and I think the station looks great too. The theming of the
coaster doesn't actually seem to be spooky for what I can see
but it does use some of the actual spooky theming. However I
still thought it deserved to be number 1 due to how good the
theming actually is. The coaster itself is good. Its nothing
amazing and I think its a bit short. It's a fast passed, twisted
suspended which takes high speed turns and dives, speeding
underground and around all sorts of themed landscape. Overall I
think the theming is superb but I think that the actual coaster
could have been a little longer. Still, just the theming gives
it right to be 1st.

Second Place Winner :-
The Scream Machine by Koaster Kid - Download
here
As soon as you open this coaster you can see that it is
supposed to be spooky. The giant church like station looks
fantastic and is surrounded by burnout trees and large
graveyards. The actual coaster is good with some high speed
turns and some dives into buildings and a near miss of the
hanging tower. Overall this is a great themed coaster and its
got a good layout too but I can't help think that theres
something missing which could have made this coaster number 1.

Third Place Winner :-
Runaway Corpses by Riley Howsden - Download
here
Runaway Corpses is a massive coaster that sprawls out all
over the map. It has lots of random theming placed around but I
am mostly impressed with some of the landscaping. There isn't
much landscaping but what has been done looks nice and works
well with the coaster. Also one other thing that put me off this
coaster was the ice cubes. Halloween ice cubes hey? Overall this
is a nice coaster with some nice theming and landscaping but it
doesn't have enough to make it stand out as a great coaster.

I would just like to thank all of the people for entering the
competition and I would also like to apologise again for not
doing the results sooner. Thanks for all your hard work and time
and well done to all the winners, and the losers :)
