    Competitions - Enter The Dragon

IMPORTANT - You Must Have RCT2 to play this competition!

May 2003 Competition

This Compo is now closed and you can see the results here.

Enter the Dragon - Background Information

Enter The Dragon is a new breed of competition. Here you will not be tested sourly on your ability to place fantastic scenery, or how high the ratings are on your roller coasters, but you will be required to summon your artistic skills. You will be provided a park and one coaster design: Wooden Roller Coaster. The money has been disabled in the park so you will be able to go absolutely crazy with your design.

Rules -
  • You must use the park provided.
  • You may only create a wooden roller coaster (all others are disabled) but you may build a restroom.
  • You may only use the following scenery/themeing:
    - Pagoda Themeing.
    - Water Feature Themeing.
    - Signs And Items For Footpaths.
    - Gardens (but not trees).
    - The Three Support Structure Peices From Walls and Roofs.
  • Any other themeing used will result in your submission being disqualified.
  • The use of trainers and hacks is strictly prohibited.
  • The roller coaster must be rideable (meaning people must get on it).

If you disobey any of the above rules your submission will be disqualified.

How Do I Make My Roller Coaster Resemble A Dragon?:

This competition relies very heavily on how much you can make the roller coaster resemble a dragon. I am looking for tight turns, swoops, steep drops, and fast speeds. BUT! Make sure that you keep the coaster within ridable stats. An example (not a good one) of what you might wish to do to make your roller coaster resemble a dragon can be found below

.

Judging It:

The park will be judged as follows:

25%: How much the coaster resembles a dragon (this is explained above).
25%: How creative and original the scenery is.
40%: How original and creative the wooden roller coaster is.
10%: How your coaster ratings have turned out.

For a total of 100%

Saved Game Installation -

This Saved Game must be used for your entry otherwise it will be disqualified. You Must Have RCT2 to open this saved game.

Download Here

To open the saved game all you have to do is download it from the link above to your desktop and then double click the zip file to open it, then extract it to where ever you want and once you have done that just double click it again to open it and RCT2 should start automatically.

There is a example of what the saved game park should look like down below.

Submitting Your Masterpeice:

Make sure that you give your ride a unique name. E-mail the ZIPPED park to the following e-mail address HERE before the deadline. Please make sure to save your park as: e.g. (your username).sv6. In the e-mail itself, include your username, your e-mail, and explain why you chose to do your park they way you did.

Opening Date - Friday 2nd May 2003
Closing Date - Friday 30th May 2003

GOOD LUCK!
